Buns

Sauce

  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise (for the creamy sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (adds tanginess to the sauce)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (for flavor)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (for flavor and color)

Toppings

Instructions 

  • Marinate chicken breasts in buttermilk with cayenne, salt, and black pepper for 15 minutes.
  • Mix flour with paprika, garlic powder, and additional salt if desired.
  • Dredge marinated chicken in flour mixture and fry until golden and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Mix mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic powder, and paprika to make the sauce.
  • Assemble sandwiches by spreading sauce on buns, adding fried chicken, lettuce, and pickles.
