Delight in these festive cookies combining the sweetness of candy corn and white chocolate with a soft, chewy texture.

Ingredients

Dough

  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 0.75 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons cream or half-and-half
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons corn starch
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • pinch salt pinch salt (optional and to taste)
  • 1.5 cups candy corn (10 to 11 ounces)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips (or salted peanuts)

Instructions 

  • Cream together butter, sugars, egg, and vanilla on medium-high until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
  • Add flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt; mix on low until just combined.
  • Stir in candy corn and white chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Form dough into 2-tablespoon mounds, chill for at least 3 hours, then bake at 350°F for 9 minutes.
  • Place cookies on a lined baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart, and bake until edges are set.
  • Cool on baking sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Place candy corn inside the cookies to prevent melting and burning on the baking sheet.
