Delicious vegetarian sliders featuring marinated portobello mushrooms and melted white cheddar on soft Hawaiian rolls, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Marinade

  • 12 ounces portobello mushrooms (sliced)
  • 0.25 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1.5 dozen King's Hawaiian Rolls
  • 2 cups Cabot White Sharp Cheddar Cheese (shredded)

Instructions

  • Marinate the sliced mushrooms in balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, olive oil, rosemary, and garlic powder for 15 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Melt butter in a pan and cook mushrooms until tender, about 5-8 minutes.
  • Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half without separating them. Place on a baking sheet.
  • Layer half of the cheese on the rolls, add mushrooms (draining excess sauce), then top with remaining cheese. Cover with the top of the rolls.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until toasted and cheese is melted. Slice into individual sliders and serve.

Notes

Use a sharp serrated knife to cut the rolls for clean slices.
