Ingredients

Tortillas

  • 6 pieces corn tortillas (6-inch size)
  • 1 teaspoon neutral-flavored oil (avocado or olive oil)
  • salt to taste salt
  • 2 large avocados (halved, pit removed, peel removed)
  • 0.25 cup diced red onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 pinch salt (more or less to taste)
  • 3 5-ounce cans tuna packed in water (drained)
  • 2 green onions green onions (thinly sliced)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2-3 dashes hot sauce (more or less to taste)
  • salt to taste salt
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper
  • 0.25 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle pepper powder
  • 1-2 tablespoons water (more or less as needed)

Instructions 

  • Heat tortillas with oil until crispy, then set aside.
  • Mash avocados with lime juice, salt, and red onion.
  • Mix tuna with lime juice, cilantro, hot sauce, salt, and pepper.
  • Spread avocado mixture on tortillas, top with tuna, green onions, and cilantro.
  • Drizzle with mayonnaise mixed with garlic, chipotle, and water. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lime before serving.
