A refreshing homemade strawberry lemonade perfect for hot days, combining fresh fruit and citrus for a vibrant flavor.
Ingredients

strawberries, hulled and quartered
(about a pint)

fresh lemon juice
(about 4-6 lemons)
Instructions
Blend strawberries with ¼ cup sugar and ½ cup water until smooth, then strain if desired.
Combine 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water in a saucepan; heat until sugar dissolves, then cool to make simple syrup.
Juice lemons until you have 1¼ cups of lemon juice.
In a pitcher, combine strawberry puree, lemon juice, simple syrup, and cold water to reach 2 quarts. Stir well.
Chill and serve over ice, garnished with strawberries and lemon slices if desired.
Notes
For a more intense strawberry flavor, let the puree sit longer before straining.
