A delicious and refreshing homemade frozen yogurt made with fresh strawberries and Greek yogurt, perfect for a hot day.

Ingredients

Fruits

  • 4 cups fresh strawberries (quartered or sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup full-fat plain Greek yogurt (such as Fage 2 or 5)
  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  • Add strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice; toss and sit for 30 minutes.
  • Blend strawberries and juices with yogurt, honey, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Pour into a container and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Churn in ice cream maker for 25-30 minutes until soft serve.
  • For scoopable yogurt, freeze for 2 hours, then let sit at room temperature 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
