A delicious and elegant smoked salmon sandwich perfect for brunch or a light lunch, combining fresh herbs, cream cheese, and high-quality smoked salmon.

Ingredients

Bread

  • 4 slices rye bread or whole wheat bread

Herb Cream Cheese Mixture

  • 4 oz whipped cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste Salt and pepper

Smoked Salmon

  • 6-8 slices high-quality smoked salmon (about 4 oz)

Red Onion

  • 1/2 small red onion red onion, thinly sliced

Baby Arugula or Watercress

  • 1 cup baby arugula or watercress

Instructions 

  • Mix cream cheese, herbs, lemon zest, salt, and pepper until smooth. Toast bread slices and spread with herb cream cheese.
  • Layer smoked salmon, red onion, and arugula on two slices. Top with remaining bread slices and cut into desired shapes.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
