A delicious and elegant open-faced toast featuring smoked salmon, cream cheese, and fresh herbs, perfect for a quick brunch or appetizer.

Ingredients

Bread

  • 1 slice whole-grain bread ((40g))

Salmon

  • 2 oz smoked salmon ((60g))

Dairy

  • 2 tbsp light cream cheese ((30g))

Capers

  • 1 tsp capers

Red Onion

  • 2 slices red onion (thin slices)

Fresh Dill

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill (or 1/4 tsp dried)

Lemon Juice

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Black Pepper

  • black pepper

Optional Seasoning

  • 1/2 tsp everything bagel seasoning

Instructions 

  • Toast the bread until golden.
  • Spread cream cheese evenly on the toast.
  • Layer smoked salmon on top.
  • Add red onion, capers, and dill.
  • Squeeze lemon juice and season with black pepper. Optional: sprinkle bagel seasoning.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon just before serving.
