Ingredients

Protein

  • 1 lb salmon fillets
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper or chili powder (optional)
  • to taste salt and black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded carrot
  • 1 cup shredded purple cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded green cabbage
  • 2 green onions green onions
  • Half a bunch cilantro
  • 0.25 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2-3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 whole lime (for juice and wedges)
  • Optional jalapeño or pickled jalapeño (for spice)
  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas
  • 1 avocado avocado
  • Lime wedges for serving
  • Optional sriracha aioli or spicy mayo (for serving)

Instructions 

  • Cube the salmon, remove skin and bones, then marinate with spices and oil for at least 10 minutes.
  • Prepare the slaw by whisking Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Toss with sliced cabbage, carrots, green onions, and cilantro.
  • Cook the salmon in a skillet over medium-high heat for 4-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  • Slice the avocado and warm the tortillas. Assemble tacos with avocado, slaw, and salmon, then garnish with lime juice and optional spicy mayo.

Notes

Feel free to add jalapeños for extra spice or drizzle with sriracha aioli for a spicy kick.
