Delicious and wholesome oatmeal bars loaded with chocolate chips, perfect for a quick snack or breakfast.

Ingredients

Dry ingredients

  • ¾ cup drippy almond butter (Wild Friends almond butter)
  • ½ cup mashed ripe banana
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Main ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (plus more for topping)

Topping

  • to taste flaky sea salt (optional)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8 inch pan with parchment or spray.
  • Mix almond butter, banana, maple syrup, flaxseed, and vanilla in a bowl.
  • Add oats, baking powder, and salt; stir to combine. Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Transfer to pan, smooth top, sprinkle extra chocolate chips and sea salt if desired.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden. Cool before cutting into bars.

Store in an airtight container for best freshness.
