Enjoy a creamy, refreshing homemade mango ice cream made with ripe mangoes and simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Fruits

  • 2 cups sweet, ripe mango puree
  • 1 cup condensed milk
  • ½ cup diced mangoes

Dairy

  • 1 cup whipping cream

Optional Add-ins

  • a few strands saffron strands (Optional)
  • a squeeze lime lime juice (Optional)

Instructions 

  • Peel, chop, and blend mangoes into a smooth puree.
  • If making homemade condensed milk, heat milk with sugar until thickened, then cool.
  • Whip the cream until soft peaks form.
  • Gently fold whipped cream into mango puree and condensed milk, then add diced mangoes.
  • Pour into a container, cover, and freeze for 6-8 hours. Let sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add a few saffron strands or a squeeze of lime juice before freezing.
