A quick and flavorful seafood pasta dish featuring tender shrimp, fresh lemon, and garlic, perfect for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 8 oz linguine or spaghetti pasta

Shrimp

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

Garlic

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

Olive Oil

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Butter

  • 2 tbsp butter

Lemon

  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced

Salt and Black Pepper

  • to taste Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Red Pepper Flakes

  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Parmesan Cheese

  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Spinach

  • 2 cups fresh spinach (optional)

Parsley

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Lemon Wedges

  • for serving Lemon wedges

Instructions 

  • Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  • Pat shrimp dry, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, then sauté in olive oil and 1 tbsp butter until pink, about 2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add remaining butter and garlic; sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add spinach and cook until wilted.
  • Add cooked pasta, lemon zest, and juice to the skillet; toss, adding reserved pasta water to reach desired sauce consistency. Return shrimp, toss to combine.
  • Remove from heat, sprinkle with Parmesan and parsley, and serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine or a pinch of red pepper flakes.
