A hearty and cheesy baked casserole combining ground beef, potatoes, and flavorful cheeses, perfect for a comforting family meal.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4-5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup beef broth or water
  • 1/4 cup milk (optional)

Garnish

  • optional Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch dish.
  • Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned; drain excess fat.
  • Add onion and garlic; cook until soft. Layer beef in dish, top with potatoes, season, then sprinkle cheeses.
  • Pour broth around edges, drizzle with milk if desired. Cover with foil and bake 30 mins.
  • Remove foil, bake 15-20 mins until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly. Garnish with parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a dash of hot sauce or herbs.
