A delicious and healthy chicken sandwich made quickly in the air fryer, packed with protein and flavor.

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 6-8 ounces each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • to taste none Salt
  • 2 pieces whole wheat buns or sandwich bread
  • as needed none Lettuce leaves
  • as needed none Tomato slices
  • as desired none Your favorite sandwich condiments ((light mayonnaise, mustard, avocado spread, etc.))

Instructions 

  • Mix olive oil and spices to create a rub.
  • Coat chicken breasts with the spice mixture evenly.
  • Preheat air fryer to 360°F (180°C). Cook chicken for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Rest chicken for 5 minutes, then slice horizontally.
  • Assemble sandwich with condiments, lettuce, tomato, and sliced chicken. Serve immediately.

Notes

Using a meat thermometer ensures chicken is cooked to 165°F (74°C).
