Enjoy these flavorful and healthy chicken tacos, packed with fresh ingredients and vibrant spices for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 500 grams chicken breast (3-4 small fillets, sliced in half lengthways)
  • 2 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • 2 teaspoons paprika (sweet Hungarian paprika)
  • 0.25 teaspoon chilli powder (or to taste, leave out for milder)
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt (to taste)
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoons chipotle sauce (La Costena or La Morena)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 0.75 cup cherry tomatoes (finely chopped)
  • 0.5 cup red onion (finely diced)
  • 0.5 lime juice (of 1/2 lime)
  • 3 tablespoons coriander (fresh, chopped)
  • 0.5 jalapeno jalapeno (very finely chopped, optional)
  • 1 avocado avocado (soft, finely mashed)
  • 0.25 cup sour cream (or plain, natural yoghurt)
  • 0.5 lime juice (of 1/2 lime (or more, to taste))
  • 1 pinch salt (to season)

Wraps

  • 10 small tortillas small tortillas (flour or corn, or other wrap of choice)
  • to taste lime wedges
  • to taste fresh coriander (chopped)

Instructions 

  • Marinate chicken with garlic, paprika, chilli powder, salt, black pepper, lime juice, cumin, and chipotle sauce.
  • Cook chicken in olive oil until fully cooked and browned, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Prepare toppings: chop tomatoes, dice onion, mash avocado, and chop cilantro and jalapeno.
  • Assemble tacos by placing sliced chicken on tortillas, then topping with tomatoes, onion, avocado, cilantro, jalapeno, and a squeeze of lime.
  • Serve with lime wedges and garnish with additional cilantro if desired.

Notes

For a milder flavor, reduce or omit the chilli powder and jalapeno.
