Ingredients

Dairy

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk

Dry Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder (Hershey's special dark)
  • 1 cup chocolate (semi-sweet or dark)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 pinch salt

Eggs

  • 5 egg yolks egg yolks (room temperature)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Add-ins

  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips (if desired)

Instructions 

  • Prepare the brownie recipe and let it cool, then cut into small chunks.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, milk, cocoa powder, sugar, salt, egg yolks, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container and churn in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer instructions.
  • During the last few minutes of churning, add mini chocolate chips and brownie chunks, then fold in gently.
  • Transfer to a container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality chocolate and ensure the brownie chunks are cooled before adding.
