A quick and satisfying breakfast featuring toasted bread topped with a cheesy egg mixture, perfect for any morning.

Ingredients

Bread

  • 2 slices bread (white, whole grain, or sourdough)

Egg

  • 1 large large egg

Cheese

  • 0.5 cup grated cheese (cheddar, gruyere, or your choice)

Herbs

  • 1 tsp finely chopped fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary)

Salt and Pepper

  • to taste Salt and black pepper

Cayenne

  • pinch Pinch of cayenne (optional)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F or air fryer to 370°F.
  • Toast bread until golden brown.
  • Beat egg, mix in cheese, herbs, salt, pepper, and cayenne.
  • Spread mixture over toast slices.
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes or air fry for 5–7 minutes until bubbly.
