Delicious and quick teriyaki beef bowls with fresh vegetables and fragrant rice, perfect for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced

Vegetables

  • 2 cups fresh vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, snap peas)

Rice

  • 1 cup jasmine or basmati rice

Sauce

  • 0.25 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

Cooking oil

  • as needed cooking oil for sautéing

Instructions 

  • Cook rice according to package instructions.
  • Slice beef against the grain into strips.
  • Whisk soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger to make the sauce.
  • Heat oil in a skillet, cook beef for 3-4 minutes until browned.
  • Add vegetables, stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, then pour sauce over and simmer for 1 minute.

Notes

Use a mix of your favorite vegetables for variety.
