Ingredients

Pasta

  • 8 ounces spaghetti or linguine (whole wheat adds flavor and fiber)
  • 1 can (15 ounces) cooked chickpeas (protein-packed star)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (use extra virgin for a vibrant base)
  • 3 cloves garlic (finely minced)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (key to bright flavor)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest (adds extra aroma)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (for gentle heat)
