Instructions
Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and reserve ½ cup of pasta water.
Blend avocados, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and chili flakes until smooth.
Mix the avocado sauce with chopped basil in a large bowl.
Add hot pasta to the sauce, toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency. Fold in cherry tomatoes if using.
Serve immediately, garnished with extra basil and pine nuts or walnuts.
Notes
For a creamier sauce, add more reserved pasta water as needed.
