Delight in these no-bake cookie dough truffles coated in rich chocolate, perfect for a sweet treat.
Ingredients
Heat-treated flour
1cupall purpose flour(heat treated as below)
½cupunsalted butter, softened
½cupbrown sugar
¼cupwhite sugar
2tablespoonsmilk
1teaspoonvanilla extract
½teaspoonsalt
1cupmini chocolate chips
2cupschocolate melting wafers or chocolate chips for coating
Instructions
Heat treat the flour by spreading on a baking sheet and baking at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes. Let cool.
Cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. Add milk, vanilla, and salt; mix well.
Gradually mix in cooled, heat-treated flour until dough forms. Fold in chocolate chips.
Form dough into 1 tablespoon balls, place on parchment-lined tray, and freeze for 15-20 minutes.
Melt chocolate wafers in microwave in 20-second bursts, stirring until smooth. Dip each frozen dough ball into chocolate, then place back on parchment. Chill for 15 minutes until set.
Notes
Chilling the dough balls before coating helps them hold their shape.
