Delicious mini sandwiches featuring breaded chicken, marinara, and melted cheese, perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

Protein

  • 12 pieces breaded chicken tenders or chicken cutlets, cooked
  • 1.5 cups marinara sauce

Cheese

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Seasonings

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder (optional)

Buns

  • 12 rolls slider rolls or Hawaiian rolls
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Cheese slices

  • as needed Provolone cheese slices

Herbs & Spices

  • as needed Fresh basil leaves
  • to taste Red pepper flakes

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Mix melted butter with minced garlic and optional parsley. Slice rolls and brush with garlic butter.
  • Layer chicken tenders on rolls, top with marinara, mozzarella, Parmesan, and Provolone slices. Add basil and red pepper flakes if desired.
  • Cover with tops of rolls, brush with remaining garlic butter, and bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve warm, garnished with additional basil if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes or fresh basil before serving.
