A quick and hearty one-pan meal combining tender steak, flavorful rice, and melted cheese for a satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 pound steak, cut into bite-sized pieces (Sirloin or your favorite cut)

Grains

  • 1 cup rice (White rice works best, brown rice may alter cooking time)

Broth

  • 2 cups beef broth (Homemade or store-bought)

Cheese

  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Cheddar, Monterey Jack, or pepper jack for a kick)

Oils & Aromatics

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Seasonings

  • to taste Salt and pepper

Optional Vegetables

  • various Vegetables like bell peppers or peas (Adds color and nutrition)

Instructions 

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic; cook until fragrant.
  • Add steak pieces to the skillet; cook until browned.
  • Stir in rice and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Pour in beef broth, season with salt and pepper, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until rice is tender, about 15 minutes.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top, cover, and cook until cheese melts, about 2-3 minutes. Serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, add chopped herbs or a splash of hot sauce.
