A flavorful and quick beef couscous dish with colorful peppers and aromatic spices.

Ingredients

Oil

  • 2 tbsp oil

Vegetables

  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 0.5 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp bouillon powder
  • 0.5 tsp thyme
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1 diced tomato
  • 0.5 cup red bell pepper
  • 0.5 cup green bell pepper
  • 1.5 cup water
  • 1 cup couscous

Herbs

  • to taste basil

Instructions 

  • Heat oil and cook onion until softened (~3 min).
  • Add ground beef, season with spices, and cook until browned.
  • Stir in tomatoes and peppers, cook for 3-5 min.
  • Add water, bring to boil, then remove from heat and stir in couscous. Cover for 5 min.
  • Fluff with fork, stir in basil, and serve.

Notes

Adjust seasoning as needed and serve hot.
