Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk

Add-ins

  • 3/4 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease.
  • Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
  • Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to wet mixture, starting and ending with dry. Gently fold in strawberries and chocolate chips.
  • Spoon batter into muffin cups about 2/3 full. Mix sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over tops.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of cinnamon on top before baking.
